
A WOMAN has been arrested and charged after a man died following an incident where he was allegedly knocked down by a dog.
The incident happened on Monday, May 22 on the Forth and Clyde Path near the Erskine Bridge.
An OAP was allegedly knocked to the ground by a dog.
The 84-year-old attended hospital for treatment but sadly, later died on Monday, June 5.
A 31-year-old woman has now been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident.
Police said she was charged with an offence in relation to being in charge of an animal, rather than in connection with the man’s death.


She was released and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 31-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with an incident which happened on the Forth and Clyde Path near Erskine Bridge on Monday, 22 May, 2023 where a man was knocked to the ground by a dog.
“The 84-year-old man later attended the hospital for treatment but died on Monday, 5 June, 2023.
“The woman was released and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
